{A very bold double eyeliner look from New York Fashion Week}

Coloured eyeliner is a big trend in the beauty world right now, and we think this is great look to match up with Indian outfits for Summer weddings. This week we have a guest post from makeup artist Sweata Patel with tips on rocking this trend. Here's her take...

What is the first thing you notice when you look at someone? Their eyes! The quickest and easiest way to bring out your eyes is to line them. Eyeliner is the way by which you can instantly make your eyes pop out, it makes the smallest eyes look bigger or change the shape of an eye. We often hear makeup artist talk about almond shape eyes and often we can cheat by using eyeliner to make a more round eye shape look almond. You can line them with different colours, just black, double lined, or ombre lined, and the list goes on.

 As a makeup artist, one of my favourite brands is Stila. Stila's stay all day eyeliner is the easiest eyeliner out there, it is also the number 1 best seller at Sephora in North America. It's felt pen tip makes it dummy proof to apply.

Clients often ask me how they can wear different colour liners. With summer around the corner, the best way to change up your look would be to do a double liner, especially if wearing colour is not something you are used to.

Step one: Line your eyes with a different coloured liner. You can wing it out to make your eyes look bigger. Make sure the liner is a bit thicker than usual.

Step two: Line your eyes with a black eyeliner, make the line thinner and closer to the lash line making sure you are still showing the pop of colour. This way you will have a coloured liner on, and still define your eye with the black line.

Step three: Finish off with a few layers of mascara!
