  • Get plenty of sleep at regular timing. Sleep tension free and keeping your mind from thinking of the things you need to get done in the coming days. A good sleep will prevent dark circles from forming around your eyes.
  • Drink 8-10 glasses of water a day. While you must increase your water in-take (more, the better), restrict yourself from carbonated drinks or limit to a small quantity. 
  • Moisturize your face and hands, using a moisturizer. Moisturizing helps restore the oils in your skin and help the skin remain hydrated. Also, you can use a night moisturizer when you go to sleep.
  • Exercise, exercise  and exercise. Do it regularly to keep the skin elasticity intact and hence prevent from forming wrinkles. Exercise has the double benefit of keeping your skin glow and your body fit. If you have been postponing exercise, use this time to give a start.
  • If you smoke, stop smoking. Smoking is harmful and can cause premature aging. Also, it causes your teeth and skin to have a yellowish colour.
  • Never wear make-up while you go to bed. They can interfere with the skin's rejuvenation process. Make sure to wash off the make-up before retiring to bed.
  • Never use out-dated make-up or one that is older than a year.
  • Apply home-made bath oil or ayurvedic oil or natural oils for 30 minutes to one hour every day. This will help keep your skin hydrated and nourished.
  • Avoid hot-showers. Instead, opt for a warm shower to prevent damages to your skin.
  • Use sun-screen, every time you go out.
  • Eat healthy food - fresh and leafy vegetables and fruits. Add more vitamins and nutrients to your diet to keep your skin fresh and glowing.
  • Never scrub or wash too hard. Washing or scrubbing hard will remove the required oils , that helps skin to regenerate. Wash lightly and in circular motion, to keep good blood flow in the skin and to prevent oils from escaping.
  • Try to maintain constant weight as frequent weight loss and weight gain can result in wrinkling of your skin.
  • Keep your mind stress free. Meditate daily for 15 minutes and also, whenever you feel stressed, to calm yourself. Stressing your mind can make you age earlier.
